How does one go about the application process?
By registering with ACOE and they will help you through all the processes from College/University application to visa processing, and air tickets

How much is the application fee.
This varies and you can only know after choosing the university/College of study, and the country

How long does it take for one to receive back the admission letter?
Most of the colleges and universities do have their intakes in September and January so, if one makes an early application it will take at least a period of three weeks from the time of application
.
Does the center charge a fee?
The centre charges a minimal fee for processing and administration services

What does it require to obtain a visa?
Different countries have their own visa requirements, and the details of these can be obtained from ACOE once you register with us

How much money does one need to have in their bank account to provide a
bank statement?

This depends on the amount of tuition fee and living expenses quoted in the admission letter or form 1-20

How is the accommodation arrangement?
Accommodation is provided but at a fee depending on the institution. In Canada
for example, there are three types of accommodation: One can either decide to
stay in the hostels within the campus, in apartments outside the campus or home stay with families that are offering accommodation facilities.

Are there part time jobs, how do they run with campus programme
regarding time for study and work?
There are part time jobs and it is up to the student to manage his/her time between working and reading

How does one obtain a work permit?
In Canada students apply for work permit after six months in college/university, whereas in the US a student must have a social security number valid for I year in order to be allowed to work

What is the cost of living?
This varies from country to country and also depends on the location of the college/university; however this ranges between US $3,000.00 – 7,000.00 per year.

Do these Universities consider credit transfer?
Yes but one must confirm with the relevant institution and what has been covered should be verified.

Are there scholarships for undergraduate programmes?
Yes there are partial scholarship to undergraduate intakes depending on the college/university and the grades one has achieved

What is the hospitality like, is there racism, and can this affect one’s adjustment to college life and subsequently one’s initial performance?
Living in a foreign land is a challenge in itself due to different cultures and practices. However we always prepare students before they for these culture shocks.
